Process

Can I buy products only, or is installation compulsory?

Installation is not compulsory. We sell panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, mounting hardware and ready-made packages individually. Retail sales run through acunsolar.com; you can also order by phone on 0282 502 24 22 or by WhatsApp. If you want a complete installed system, we work turnkey.

How can I find out product prices?

We do not keep a price list on the site; product prices move with exchange rates and stock, and an out-of-date list helps nobody. Contact us by WhatsApp or phone and we will quote the same day. If you are considering a system with installation, we prepare an itemised quotation after a free survey.

How long do the survey and quotation take?

A preliminary analysis is made within 24 hours of your first information. A site-specific technical survey is then completed within 1–3 working days according to the appointment schedule, and the final investment feasibility is shared with you.

Is the survey chargeable?

The survey places you under no obligation. In Tekirdağ we carry out a free on-site survey: our engineer visits the address, examines the roof or land, works out your consumption profile and prepares a quotation. In other regions the process starts remotely — we make a preliminary analysis from your bills, roof photographs and measurements, and plan a site visit once the project takes shape.

How long does a solar installation take?

From survey to commissioning, a residential-scale project typically takes 3–6 weeks. Most of that is the grid operator’s application and approval process; the physical installation on a house usually takes 1–3 days. Off-grid systems need no approval, so the process comes down to 1–2 weeks.

Will my power be cut off during installation?

There is no interruption during assembly. Only the commissioning moment, when the grid connection is made, requires a short planned outage; that is notified in advance and scheduled at a convenient time.

Regulation

Do you handle the grid operator application process?

Yes. Across Tekirdağ and Thrace we manage the TREDAŞ statutory application process turnkey, from obtaining the connection letter to the acceptance procedures. We take the entire administrative burden off you.

Does an off-grid system need grid operator approval?

No. Off-grid systems never connect to the network, so no application to the grid operator is required. That shortens the installation process considerably.

What happens to the surplus electricity I generate?

Surplus exported to the grid enters monthly netting through the appointed supply company under unlicensed generation rules, and is deducted from your bill. Contrary to what is often said, there is no “selling to the state”.

Will my electricity bill be reduced to zero?

No. Even if your generation exceeds your consumption, the distribution charge, system usage charges and taxes remain on the bill. What is offset is the energy charge; the total bill typically falls by 70–90%.

Technical

Off-grid or hybrid for a vineyard house?

If there is no grid at all, we recommend off-grid; if there is a supply but frequent outages, or you want to be free of the bill, hybrid. We determine the most economical battery capacity according to how often you use the property.

Do solar panels generate in winter or in cloudy weather?

Yes, they do. Panels need light, not heat. Output is lower than in summer because winter days are short and the sun is low. We take winter performance into account in the design.

Do the panels need cleaning?

Yes. Given the dust and agricultural activity in Thrace, cleaning the panels with pure water at least twice a year — preferably at the spring transitions — raises output by 5–15%. Chemical detergents must never be used.

Does a well pump for irrigation need special equipment?

Yes. We use a solar pump drive rather than a standard inverter. This lets your submersible pump run safely with a soft start, without the grid, even in cloudy weather.

Can EV charging and solar be planned together at a villa?

Yes. In villa projects we balance the household load and the vehicle charging load with intelligent load management. That way you can charge your car at home from your own generation without straining the main fuse.

Is there a portable system for a tiny house?

Yes. We offer modular systems that can be mounted on a trailer or on the ground. Because space is limited, we prefer high-efficiency panels and compact lithium batteries that take up little room.

My roof is sandwich panel — can solar be installed?

In most cases yes, but not without measuring the load-bearing capacity. Panel thickness, purlin spacing and the age of the roof are decisive. We do not install on a roof whose structural suitability has not been confirmed.

Investment

What is the payback period on a factory rooftop project?

Thanks to industrial tariffs and a high self-consumption ratio, typical payback is 4–5 years. With a system life of 25–30 years this is a considerable advantage. The deciding factor is how much of the generation is consumed on site.

How long before a residential investment pays for itself?

In houses and villas, typical payback is 5–6 years. For agricultural irrigation compared with grid electricity it rises to 6–8 years; but where it replaces a generator and diesel it falls to 2–3 years.

How large a system am I allowed to install?

Two things set the upper limit: the usable roof or land area, and your contracted capacity. Under unlicensed generation rules the installed capacity cannot exceed your contracted capacity. As a rough guide, each 1 kWp needs about 6 m².

Regional

How much does 1 kWp generate per year in Thrace?

Depending on the area, expect 1,380–1,480 kWh per kWp per year. The highest potential is in Çanakkale (~1,480 kWh) and the lowest along the Çatalca–Silivri line (~1,380 kWh). The typical figure for Tekirdağ is about 1,400 kWh.

Which provinces do you serve?

Based in Tekirdağ, we serve Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Çanakkale and the Thracian side of Istanbul (Çatalca, Silivri). We carry out on-site surveys across the region, including Çorlu, Çerkezköy, Malkara, Hayrabolu, Keşan, Uzunköprü, Lüleburgaz and Gelibolu.

Which electricity distribution company handles the application?

Tekirdağ, Edirne and Kırklareli are in the TREDAŞ area. Çatalca and Silivri belong to Istanbul and therefore to BEDAŞ, while Çanakkale falls under UEDAŞ. Application documents and process flow vary between these companies.

Warranty

What are the warranty periods?

Panels carry a 10–12 year product warranty and a 25 year performance warranty (linear efficiency); inverters carry manufacturer warranties of 5–10 years. We also provide a workmanship warranty on all our installations.

Do you provide support after installation?

Yes. After commissioning we provide generation monitoring, periodic maintenance and on-site technical support in the event of a fault. Because the system is monitored remotely, most problems are detected before you notice them.

Why are maps and third-party content not loaded without consent?

Under data protection law and the principle of privacy by design, non-essential third-party services (such as Google Maps) are kept inactive until you give consent through the cookie panel, in order to prevent data transfer.
